Shipping, Packaging & Food Allergy Information
ShippingWe will package your chocolates in our signatures boxes with ribbons and tissue paper. When requested we can also include a personalized gift card. We package all products to withstand shipping and weather conditions.
We package the chocolates in compostable bags and recyclable materials when possible.
You may also specify a shipping date that works best for you. Our normal shipping method is via United State Postal Service Priority Mail, 2-3 day delivery. Signature confirmation can be requested. You may call us and make special arrangements if you need chocolate sent more expediently.
We will usually ship your chocolate Monday-Wednesday to ensure freshness.

We must ship express when the temperature exceeds 72 degrees (here or in route) Please contact us for an increased shipping fee (we will charge you the actual cost and include a $ 4 packing fee). Please contact us for additional information.

Current Shipping Charges
Normal shipping charges are with USPS 2 to 3 days and the cost is $8.50 for continental US.
When shipping overnight or to high temperature area we ask that you contact us (231-326-3030) and make special arrangement.
Our overnight shipping charges (continental U.S.) start at $25.
Truffles, Caramels & Bon Bons Shelf Life
Because we do not use artificial flavors or preservatives, our truffles, caramels and bon bons have a conservative shelf life of two weeks from the time you receive them. Please keep this in mind when placing your order.
Shelf Life for Other Products
- Solid chocolate products such as Chocolate Chunks, Zen Bars, Bears, etc.: Six months
- Bars & Puddles: Four months
- Maple Nibs and Pecan Thyme: Four months
- Chocolate Covered Nibs: Four months
- Chocolate Hazelnuts, Cherries and Almonds: Four months
- Hot Chocolate: Four months
The truffles are in truffle cups and must be handled with care. Store them at a temperature between 65 and 70 degrees and out of direct sun light. Please note the recommended enjoy by date. You may refrigerate or freeze if kept in an airtight container. Let the truffles come to room temperature before opening the container. The luster (color/shine) of the chocolate might have lessened when cooled.
Food Allergies
Grocer's Daughter Chocolates are made in a kitchen where dairy, nuts (Brazil nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, no peanuts), and seeds are used. Products may contain trace amounts of the above listed ingredients. If you have any allergies to these ingredients please refrain from eating any of our products.
